Our Staff

  • David Weaver - Campus Minister

David grew up in Centralia, Washington, 80 miles south of Seattle and had a wonderful church home there. It was during those years through a strong youth group program that he realized the importance of a Christian community.

He graduated from MSSU in 1989 with a degree in Accounting and General Business. David met his wife Laura while attending Ozark Christian College where I received my Bachelors in Christian Education in 1989. They have four wonderful children, Brandon, Michael, Rachel and Joshua. David went on to complete my MBA in Accounting in 2005 and my Master of Arts in Communication in 2013.

“I became Campus Minister with Koinonia in July 1989 and God has blessed my family in so many ways through this ministry and through the many students we have been fortunate to meet and grow with over the years.”

  • Adam Russell - Worship / Content / Experience / Men's Discipleship

Adam uses his gifts to lead God's people in worship. He was born and raised in Joplin, Missouri. He graduated from Ozark Christian College in May 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Worship where he was also a member of their Frontline worship team. He helps with worship at College Heights Christian Church and goes on tour with Christ In Youth as a musician, emcee, and in any costume they want him to wear.

Fun fact: when Adam left his job at Dunham's Sports, he hung a poster of his face on top of another athlete and it remained in the store for four days.

  • Viola Russell - Women's Ministry

Viola recently joined staff at Koinonia in January of 2022 and comes to us from Houston, Texas. She graduated in 2021 with a bachelor’s of business administration degree in marketing with a minor in leadership management from the University of Houston. Viola has led worship with Christ in Youth, worked in youth ministry for 4 years, and served at her college campus ministry. She loves the outdoors, local coffee shops, Tex-Mex, and quality time with others.
